Founded in 2018, the *Turkish Space Agency (TUA) *is the national authority responsible for shaping and coordinating Türkiye’s space policies. Operating under the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye, TUA advances the country’s capabilities in space sciences, satellite systems, exploration, and international cooperation.

Türkiye’s National Space Programme, launched in 2021, sets a bold ten-year vision with goals including: sending a Turkish astronaut to space (achieved in 2024), landing on the Moon, developing a regional positioning system, establishing a spaceport, and strengthening the national space industry.

As the official host of IAC 2026, TUA is proud to welcome the global space community to Antalya for a congress that embodies a shared vision:

SAHA İSTANBUL AEROSPACE CLUSTER

SAHA İstanbul Aerospace Cluster is the largest industrial cluster in Türkiye and Europe, consisting of more than 1300 member companies, 30 universities, and 10 committees. It encompasses nearly all private companies and government agencies involved in aerospace in Türkiye, including the Turkish Space Agency (TUA).

Since its establishment, SAHA İstanbul has represented Türkiye internationally through collaborations and initiatives. It has been recognized as an authorized body of the International Aerospace Quality Group (IAQG) via the National Aerospace Industrial Committee (SAHA MİHENK), founded in 2017, which oversees the localization of AS 9100 series certification processes for the aviation industry. SAHA Istanbul is also a member of the European Aerospace Cluster Partnership (EACP), representing Türkiye as a “Bronze” certified member, and is part of the International Astronautical Federation (IAF). This year SAHA İstanbul has been awarded the prestigious UFI (Global Association of the Exhibition Industry) certification.

SAHA İstanbul plays a crucial role in advancing private companies’ technological progress in civil aviation and space. In 2022, it established the National Space Industries Committee (SAHA MUEK) to encourage production in the aerospace sector and facilitate collaboration with main contractors and member universities. Additionally, it participated in the IAQG’s “Space Forum” in 2023.
